A Story of Faith & Redemption

Born from personal tragedy and a journey back to faith, James Hicks’ music reflects the belief that even life’s darkest moments can be transformed into purpose

At The Experience, our mission is to speak to those who are like us (the imperfect, unheard, hopeless) and let them know that they are still the righteousness of God; The Perfectly Imperfect. There is a way back regardless of what has happened in your life. It’s a message of hope, transparency, and true victory exemplified. If God can do it to and through me, He can do it to and through anyone.

This experience was born through the untimely death of the originator’s military son in the war. August 11th was the date of birth, as well as the day he was killed in the war, fighting for the country. After this tragedy, the originator spiraled by doing things uncharacteristic for him. He found himself eventually standing alone, just him and a forgiving God. “when God is for you, he’s more than the world against you”.

Shame -ended with compassion for others who have done or suffered things.

Guilt -found to be blameless, innocent, guiltless, the righteousness of God.

What the devil meant for my bad, God turned it for my good!
